Moving south of Birmingham and away from the Grand Junction Lines for a last view of Coventry Powerbox which closed this weekend.

Loads of pics were taken of the box a few weeks ago, Cov is the first west mids PSB to go, Walsall/Bescot DT are due to close 2011, Wolves even earlier, 2009 apparently.

Surprising that it was opened as early as 1962, 4 years before Walsall and New St, and still plenty of steam around then as well. An oddity.

Thats just mad closing all the boxes. Wonder how the railways will cope when things go wrong and there is no on site signalling centre to put things right immediately? Or am I just talking rubbish.....again.....
