I remember it well. Freezin me wosits off ontop of the south staffs waiting for it to come.
But well worth the wait. I never saw 416 in Royal Scotsman liv. Certainly a rare beast in the midlands, though towards its end it worked the Birch trip and a tour with 406 through Bescot as well, which I think you saw. Very nice........
