Looking nice and bright in Bescot Down Local is 60006. A couple of these locos were painted in Corus livery around 2000 and always looked smart. The Corus colours replaced the previous British Steel livery.

Superb that is. Perhaps not a wise choice for a freight loco but looks great when clean ! Not seen it myself in that livery, as it caught fire about four years ago and has been stored at Toton...
I saw them both in blue, they were ace. But the silver was naff and I never saw them before I finished off in 2002. Did see a glimpse of one of the scrappers at Toton though, think it was 006 acshully.
Yes that's right. We got a distant glimpse/shot at toton earlier this year. I never seen them up & running in those colours so thanks for posting .
Dont forget that monster 37717 in the background with that 20 word nameplate on it!
