Nearing the end
A class 47 runs light towards the bescot curve from wednesbury.
Taken from about 100 feet up off an old simon snorkle fire engine in wood green school playground (St pauls road). On hire to SMBC tree gang in 1993.
The last year of the line before closure.
Walked the line plenty of times since, & will send a pic of that signal soon.

Lucky stuff there to get those shots, more pure nostalgia, never to be done again.....
WL46 signal still stands, waiting for its next train, denied by BR incompetence, perpetueted by RT/NR.
