Noose Lane Crossing
31113 and 37679 storm north with 6S44 Sheerness to Mossend. These locos were booked to work the Bescot - Warrington leg. In 1998 it was renumbered 6S75. Not the best location this but a different one. If I recall I was a bit late and knew I wouldnt make the usual spot if it was on time.

unusual pairing (brush & ee). suppose it was common in your day ?
Was fairly often, same as 33/37 pairings on the Southern. There was a traction shortage at this time would you believe! Lashed up some good combos! Funny thing though I got bowled for a decent shot each time it was a 31/37 pairing for one reason or another. This is me best shot of such a pairin on 6S44/6S75...
.... and 6S73 before that i believe. Great combo there, almost vintage now...
