Bone on the ballast
58021 heads over Noose Lane crossing on 02.07.97. I was very annoyed that such a working didnt provide the more usual 31s or 37s but looking back now, it aint so bad. When you consider that 6G85 was just in front with a pair of 31s and 6S44 had a pair of 37s, I shouldnt complain!

Such variety in them far-off days ! wunderbar
Strange, cus i never took to those 58's myself. Think sheds look like um now ! ?. But wouldn't mind a few now.
Smashing
I never liked the 58s either, even though they were a shade more interesting in their last 5 years in a variety of livs rather than that boring grey since built. That said, in 1997 I never thought I would see the day when they would all be gone!!
